Starting my career as an assistant I spent more time in the dark than I didn’t. In the early 00’s film was the way images were captured as digital was expensive technology. I processed thousands of rolls of E6 and C41 for many years as well as learning lighting and staging skills in a commercial studio. I was at QCA doing my Bachelor of Arts at the same time so having access to a studio space as a student was a huge advantage, as well as access to top notch gear and advice. Learning to actually get the shot in the lens is probably the skill I cherish the most.
Over the years I have photographed many different things. I am well versed in studio photography whether it be of humans or products. I have worked with many Brisbane advertising agencies on campaigns and concepts and small businesses to assist in photographing their brand and services.
My goal for any work I produce is to infuse my love for art and fashion. Whether I be shooting a single portrait or putting together a team for an international fashion editorial I always find an angle that combines my interests and influence with that of the client brief. My approach is collaborative, comfortable and I love being engaged by a great concept or topic.
I am an image maker, traveller and accumulator of nice things. I have had a diverse and varied career over the years, and I have had the pleasure of working with wonderful individuals here in Australia and abroad. I love a good brief, conversation and collaboration. So, let’s have a chat and see how I can assist your business or personal brand.
